Tony Andronaco: My life; my poetry

Hello, I’m Tony. I am an adult survivor of severe physical and physiological abuse at the hands of my father. Growing up, and even now, writing poetry was a way for me to escape the pain, to be “heard” when there was no one actually listening. I have come a long way in life, but still have a way to go as it relates to intimate relationships. I decided to share my story and my poetry in hopes that it will help me heal and move on. And, who knows, maybe it will help someone in a similar situation dealing with childhood trauma. Best to you all!

September, 2025 Update: All my poems are now private as I will be publishing them in a chapbook soon. If you would like information about purchasing the book please email me here. Thank you!!

Book Coming Out!

I am self publishing a chapbook of my poetry soon. It will include a few that were published here (All Even, Face, Death Cry…) but also many that have never been shared (The Garbage Man, Next on The Knife, The Widow & The Rowboat, Second Son of a Second Son…). If you would like to receive notice of its release enter your email below. You will be notified by the site administrator (it’s all electronic. I don’t see the requests myself so sorry if it is slow.) . Thank you!
