Tony Andronaco: My life; my poetry

Hello, I’m Tony. I am an adult survivor of severe physical and physiological abuse at the hands of my father. Growing up, and even now, writing poetry was a way for me to escape the pain, to be “heard” when there was no one actually listening. I have come a long way in life, but still have a way to go as it relates to intimate relationships. I decided to share my story and my poetry in hopes that it will help me heal and move on. And, who knows, maybe it will help someone in a similar situation dealing with childhood trauma. Best to you all!

September, 2025 Update: All my poems are now private as I will be publishing them in a chapbook soon. If you would like information about purchasing the book please email me here. Thank you!!

Hello, all.

My new book—a collection of 18 raw, intimate poems—traces the path of my life from the shadows of childhood abuse and trauma to the light of love, loss, resilience, and finally, peace.

These poems are not just stories—they’re truths. They’re the moments I survived, the moments that shaped me, and the moments that set me free.

If you’ve ever carried pain, searched for meaning, or fought your way toward healing, these pages are for you.

Experience the journey. Feel the transformation.

Let these poems remind you that peace is possible.
